Programmer – IT Systems Support || Public Sector || Multiple Roles Hiring

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technical & Operational Support Officer to provide application, infrastructure, and operational support across core enterprise systems.

This role involves maintaining system performance, delivering software enhancements, coordinating with external vendors, and supporting IT procurement and project administration.

Key Responsibilities

• System & Infrastructure Support: Deliver technical, operational, and system administration support across application, infrastructure, network, and security domains; handle routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and system enhancements.

• Application Development & Maintenance: Develop, test, document, and maintain web, client/server, and internal application systems.

• Vendor & Project Coordination: Assist project teams in managing contractor performance, reviewing deliverables for quality and compliance, and supporting project follow-up actions.

• Procurement & Technical Review: Support user requirement gathering, technical evaluations of hardware/software, and routine IT procurement and maintenance administration.

• Operational Liaison: Act as a focal point between end-users and technical vendors to ensure smooth service delivery.

Key Requirements

Qualification & Work Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills

• Essential: Solid experience in SQL / MS SQL Server, Web Services, Web Programming, XML, and VBA.

• Advantageous: Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, automation, Linux/Unix administration, TCP/IP networking, or server virtualisation.
