PTMW, a Topeka, KS fabricator, is hiring a Fabrication Programmer to support its CNC production. Day to day the person reviews flat-pattern DXF files and tooling profiles, builds and finalizes offline program nests, and resolves nest-to-machine issues so CNC machinery runs efficiently.
Job Overview:
PTMW, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fabrication Programmer. This position will provide additional programming support to the growing fabrication demand.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Reviewing flat pattern DXF features, tooling profiles and part nest environments.
- Responsible for creating and reviewing program nests, in an offline setting. Finalizing program nests to then be provide to CNC machinery for production.
- Understanding and following programming schedule as a team member to accomplish goals in a timely manner.
- Communicating any design to programming errors/inconsistencies in a manner that leads to a quick and successful outcome.
- Addressing nest to machine conflicts/providing nest support for efficiency of CNC machinery.
