Position Overview:
Thoreau Facility Services is seeking a Programs Manager to lead execution across multiple client programs and construction projects. This role oversees project portfolios, ensuring timelines, scope, vendor coordination, and financial performance remain aligned across multiple initiatives.
The Programs Manager plays a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with strong margin discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Program Execution
- Manage multiple active projects and rollout initiatives simultaneously
- Maintain milestone discipline across projects and stakeholders
- Identify risks and intervene early to maintain schedule integrity
Vendor & Client Management
- Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Lead program-level client communication and project updates
- Resolve project escalations and operational challenges
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project dashboards and reporting accuracy
- Ensure documentation and closeout requirements are met
- Monitor project progress and ensure billing readiness
Financial Oversight
- Monitor project budgets and margin performance
- Identify cost risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure change orders are documented and approved
Team Leadership
- Support and coach Programs Coordinators
- Help standardize workflows and execution processes
- Participate in project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
