Project Architect
Summary
Project Architect at a Singapore interdisciplinary design studio, owning technical delivery from construction documentation through completion: site inspections against design intent, consultant and authority coordination (BCA, URA, SCDF), and programme, budget and contract management. Core tools are Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and scheduling software like MS Project.
The role
WeCraft is strengthening how its designs are delivered on the ground. We are seeking a Project Architect to own technical delivery, construction administration and project management across our live projects, the person who makes sure the built result matches the design intent, on programme and to standard.
You will be the studio's delivery and technical custodian: running the documentation-to-construction phase, coordinating consultants and authorities, going to site to check build quality against the drawings, and managing programme, budget and contracts. You will work to the architectural direction of the Principal Architect, and direct the architectural designers and WeCraft's outsourced documentation partners through delivery.
About WeCraft Group
WeCraft Group is an interdisciplinary design house working across architecture, interior architecture, product and furniture design, and project management. We are headquartered in Singapore, with projects in Thailand and Japan.
Our work spans high-end residential, cinema and entertainment, restaurant and bar, hospitality and, distinctively, yacht interiors. We integrate creative vision with fabrication and construction delivery: we guide and oversee build quality from concept to installation, and we hold the sourcing and quality-control process ourselves, working with craftspeople, fabricators and builders in Singapore and the region.
We transform inventive ideas into environments of enduring beauty, integrity and function. We are looking for people who want to accomplish the same within a team workplace culture.
What you will do
- Own technical delivery of projects from construction documentation through to completion, protecting design integrity throughout the build.
- Act as Project Architect on site: conduct site visits and inspections, check build quality and workmanship against the design drawings, resolve site queries and manage on-site challenges.
- Manage project programme, budget, contracts and consultant coordination, keeping projects on schedule and to cost.
- Own multi-consultant coordination (MEP, C&S and specialists) and resolve complex constructability and code questions.
- Liaise with authorities and Qualified Persons on submissions and approvals (BCA, URA, SCDF as applicable).
- Set and uphold documentation, BIM and quality standards; direct and review the architectural designers and outsourced documentation partners through delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with WeCraft's builders, craftspeople, artisans and vendors, and coordinate with Maison WeCraft on FF&E delivery.
What you bring
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; registered architect (BOA Singapore) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience, with a strong construction-administration / delivery track record and demonstrated project-management experience.
- Deep technical and documentation expertise across DD, CD and For Construction / For Fabrication sets.
- Sound knowledge of Singapore building codes and the submission landscape (BCA, URA, SCDF) and of consultant coordination.
- Proven ability to run programme, budget and contracts, and to supervise teams (including remote staff).
- This role does not offer work-pass sponsorship; applicants must already be authorised to work in Singapore.
Software
Expert in Revit and AutoCAD, with Adobe Creative Suite and project-management / scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project). BIM standard-setting experience an advantage.
What success looks like in the first 6 to 12 months
- Projects are delivered on programme and to WeCraft's quality standard, with the built result faithful to the design intent.
- Trusted to lead consultant and authority coordination and to sign off documentation and site work.
- A dependable delivery rhythm is in place, and the design and documentation teams are well-directed through construction.
Compensation
SGD 5,500 - 8,000 per month, commensurate with experience and registration, plus a discretionary performance bonus.
Benefits and the full compensation package are discussed with shortlisted candidates.
What we look for
Beyond technical skill, we hire for attitude. The people who thrive at WeCraft are:
- Owners: driven, proactive and eager to grow, pushing work forward rather than waiting to be told.
- Problem-solvers: resourceful and resilient, working through design and technical challenges to practical solutions.
- Team players: collaborative, communicative and generous, strengthening studio culture across our Singapore team and our international collaborators.
Why join us
This is a pivotal delivery role in a craft-led studio. You will own how our designs are realised on site, working directly with the Principal Architect. We are a small studio running substantial projects, which means the people here carry real responsibility early, and there is no layer between you and the Principals.
How to apply
Interested candidates should send their resume, portfolio and a short cover letter to executive@wecraftgroup.com.
