Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Organizational Context and Scope

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Thailand implements a range of initiatives to support safe, orderly and regular migration and strengthen migration governance in partnership with government agencies, the private sector, civil society organizations and migrants. Through evidence generation, policy engagement, and capacity building, IOM supports national efforts to maximize the developmental benefits of migration and advance inclusive and rights-based approaches to migration governance.

Under the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion (LMI) Unit, IOM Thailand will implement the project Strengthening Labour Migration Governance in Thailand for Resilience, Inclusion and Evidence-Based Planning (THRIVE). The project aims to strengthen labour migration governance in Thailand by supporting national institutions to utilize evidence-based research and inclusive digital systems to inform labour migration governance and national development planning. As Thailand navigates demographic change, evolving labour market demands and workforce shortages, the project will support government partners and relevant stakeholders to better integrate migration into national development processes, strengthen migration-related data and information systems, and enhance access to skills development and recognition opportunities for migrant workers.

Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager, and the direct supervision of the National Project Officer, the incumbent will provide administrative, logistical and programmatic support to the implementation of project activities. The incumbent will assist in coordinating project events and stakeholder engagement activities, supporting outreach and migrant engagement initiatives, maintaining project documentation and records, monitoring implementation progress, and facilitating administrative and operational processes necessary for the effective delivery of project outputs.
