Job Summary

Capital Area Health Network (CAHN) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Assistant to support organizational initiatives focused on compliance, records management, data integrity, and operational efficiency. This part-time, direct-hire position will assist with the coordination and completion of special projects that support CAHN's mission, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals.


Essential Functions

  • Provide administrative, organizational, and project support for initiatives that advance operational, compliance, quality, and strategic objectives.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of projects across multiple departments and functional areas.
  • Track project activities, timelines, deliverables, and outcomes to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Collect, organize, maintain, and analyze data to support reporting, decision-making, and project objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, records, reports, spreadsheets, and other related materials.
  • Support process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, organization, data integrity, and workflow effectiveness.
  • Assist with document management activities, including record retention, digitization, file maintenance, version control, and archival processes.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support compliance-related activities by tracking requirements, maintaining documentation, and assisting with audits, reviews, and reporting as assigned.
  • Perform data review, validation, and cleanup activities to promote accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity of organizational records and systems.
  • Coordinate and support meetings, communications, training initiatives, and follow-up activities related to assigned projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff, leadership, and stakeholders to accomplish project goals and organizational priorities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive organizational, employee, and patient information in accordance with applicable policies and regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support special projects and organizational initiatives as business needs evolve.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Schedule

  • Part-time role approximately 30 hours per week.
  • This is an on‑site position.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of administrative, healthcare, project coordination, or related experience preferred or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
