PROJECT ASSOCIATE SPECIALISING IN THE SEMICONDUCTOR OR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY (6-MONTHS ROLE ONLY)
Summary
Consultant supports a 6-month client project in Singapore, analyzing data and implementing solutions for semiconductor/advanced manufacturing challenges using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Python.
This is a fixed-term role of 6-months only to support a fixed duration client project. The suitable candidate is expected to hit the ground running on the client project from day one due to the short-term nature of the role.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will join our Singapore office to work in teams and directly with our client.
In this role you will help our client solve their most pressing problems. You will also work with many experts, from data scientists and researchers to software and app designers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll work in teams of typically 3- 5 consultants to identify, and oftentimes implement, potential solutions fora specific client problem or challenge. Together, you will help our client make lasting improvements to their performance and realize their most important goals.
Over the course of the project, you will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations. You'll also present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members. In some cases, you will be asked to travel to your client site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; Advanced graduate degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.) or equivalent preferred.
- 3+ to 4 years of business management and/or business consulting experience in a reputed company. As this is a short-term role involving work on urgent projects, experience working in a top-tier management consulting firm is highly advantageous.
- Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to strategy, product development, project management, marketing and sales, etc. Knowledge of/familiarity with top-tier consulting firm methodologies.
- Proficiency in these technologies for internal and external communications: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, Box and SharePoint, Cursor and Claude
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
- Strong quantitative and data-analysis skills (e.g., proficiency with analytical tooling such as Python/advanced Excel) to support data-intensive manufacturing diagnostics
- Ability to work effectively within an international, multi-country project team whose leadership is based primarily in Europe, including comfort collaborating across European and Asian time zones
- Experience in, or direct exposure to, the semiconductor and/or advanced manufacturing sector or a comparable complex process/industrial operations environment - with the ability to quickly build credibility in a highly technical manufacturing setting
- Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project
- Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
As our client is English-speaking, ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English
