WSP India is seeking a Project Coordinator to support our technically advanced and complex projects. We require an experienced Deputy Project Manager familiar with international delivery models, who can provide high-quality project management support services. This position is available within our dynamic team located in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Noida. As a part of the GCC UK Air Quality team, the primary function and duties include:

  • Assist Project Managers and Project Directors in fulfilling contracted project management obligations throughout the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion including opportunity governance and pricing, budget creation and change management and working capital management making effective contributions to project management processes, regardless of project scale or complexity.
  • Responsible for correctly updating project data monthly within WSP’s project management Oracle based system.
  • Supporting PMs/PDs with Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates, progress reporting, and Earned Value insights
  • Assist in developing, monitoring, and reporting on key performance metrics by applying tools and procedures that contribute to successful project delivery.
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision by planning and prioritizing work to ensure scope of service obligations are met.
  • Champion excellent health and safety practices to achieve safe, sustainable, and efficient outcomes that meet agreed objectives.
  • Proactively identify and highlight threats to progress and scope of service obligations.
  • Prepare monthly reports, meeting minutes, and other management documentation to support successful delivery including the monitoring and updating of project schedules and progress against milestones.
  • Assist in developing project management documentation, including project management plans, cost estimates and forecasts, risk registers, project schedules, and stakeholder registers.
  • Undertake information management activities via industry-standard Common Data Environments such as SharePoint and ProjectWise.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary environmental project teams consisting of technical and professional staff and suppliers.
  • Assist in the administration of supplier contracts.

Key Competencies

Essential:

Education & Experience

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (such as environment, project management, engineering, science, building or quantity surveying) or a combination of relevant project management experience and qualifications.
  • Demonstrable project co-ordination/management skills reflecting the responsibilities above including regarding cost controls, budget updates and forecasting impacts of over or under performance. with an interest in land quality.

  • This role is expected to suit someone with 2-4 years relevant post graduate experience

Language Proficiency

  • Strong spoken and written English, demonstrated by an internationally recognised English language qualification.

Core Competencies

  • Numerically competent – able to forecast impacts of changes to cost and revenue models

  • Confident in obtaining information from people and proactive in approach.

  • Skilled at analysing information from diverse sources and assembling it into meaningful documents (e.g., reports, programs, spreadsheets).

  • Capable of managing, recording, and prioritizing business activities, with the ability to recognize and reconcile conflicts to achieve objectives.

  • Responsive to change, with the ability to accurately record and communicate variations and their consequences.

  • Comfortable receiving instructions, executing defined tasks, and accepting personal responsibility for actions.

  • Understands the importance of supporting overseas managers to fulfil defined contractual obligations.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word – Power BI and Advanced Excel skills would be an advantage.

  • Knowledgeable about industry standards and best practices in project management.

  • Effective team player, able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Evidence of commercial and contractual awareness, with the ability to demonstrate financial acumen and analytical skills. Experience of Oracle systems would be an advantage

  • Routinely able to meet tight deadlines projects.

  • Comfortable working independently; highly self-motivated.

Able to communicate effectively and efficiently across time zones both in spoken and digital formats.
