Project Controller
In this role, you will work at the intersection of Finance and Operations, ensuring that project costs, development expenditure, Capex and financial forecasts are reliable, transparent and decision-ready. Your contribution will directly support management steering and investment decisions as Cube Green Energy and SUNfarming continue to scale their renewable energy platform.
This is a hands-on role in a dynamic growth environment, focused on building structure, improving visibility and embedding financial discipline at project level.
- Track development expenditures, DevEx and Capex against approved budgets
- Identify deviations early and prepare structured variance analyses
- Ensure clear cost allocation, documentation and transparency across project phases
- Review and challenge project cost assumptions, budgets and forecasts
- Validate financial inputs provided by project teams
- Support fact-based discussions on cost development, risks and funding implications
- Support investment approval processes with structured financial data
- Provide scenario and sensitivity analyses where required
- Ensure project data feeds into group-level performance steering
- Prepare regular project controlling reports
- Align project data with FP&A and liquidity planning
- Ensure consistency between project budgets, forecasts and cash implications
- Support the preparation of management reporting materials
- Degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in project controlling, operational controlling or a comparable finance role
- Strong analytical skills and a structured working style
- Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and independently
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Hands-on mindset with a strong execution focus
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP knowledge required, NetSuite experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across Finance and Operations
- Ownership mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to create structure and improve transparency in a growing organization
- Confidence in working with project teams, finance stakeholders and management
