Job Title: Project Controls Analyst
Location: Newnan, Ga
Contract length: 10 months, possible extension
Pay: $47-$52/hr.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Scheduler to support large-scale Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and forecasting project schedules while supporting critical project controls functions throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced Primavera P6 expertise, strong critical path analysis skills, and experience in earned value management, resource planning, and project forecasting. This individual will work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure project schedules are accurate, achievable, and aligned with overall project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Project Controls

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and analysis of Level I and Level II project schedules for complex EPC projects.

  • Develop and maintain detailed schedule logic, including fragnet identification, sequencing, and resource leveling.

  • Perform critical path and float analysis and provide schedule performance reporting to project leadership.

  • Develop and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) reports to track project performance against the baseline schedule and budget.

  • Assist in project forecasting, progress measurement, and schedule recovery planning.

  • Support change management activities by analyzing and documenting schedule impacts related to scope changes.

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure schedule alignment across all project phases.

  • Identify schedule risks, evaluate mitigation strategies, and support project risk analysis efforts.

  • Maintain accurate schedule documentation, updates, and reporting for internal and client stakeholders.

  • Assist in the preparation of larger and more complex project controls assignments as experience and capabilities grow.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field with 6+ years of relevant Planning & Scheduling experience; OR

  • 8+ years of relevant Planning & Scheduling or Cost Control experience in a Home Office or Field Office environment without a four-year degree.

  • Previous experience supporting EPC, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects strongly preferred.

Required Skills & Expertise

Technical Skills

  • Mastery of Primavera P6 scheduling software.

  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis, including network diagrams, leads, lags, and critical path identification.

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance measurement techniques.

  • Ability to develop and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for large, complex projects.

  • Experience with schedule forecasting, risk analysis, and delay impact analysis.

  • Knowledge of project change management and schedule impact assessment.

  • Strong resource allocation and resource leveling capabilities.

  • Proficiency in schedule reporting, progress analysis, and performance tracking.

  • Advanced knowledge of project controls methodologies and best practices preferred.

  • Experience working in both field and home office environments is a plus.
