Project Coordinator
Job Description:
Position Purpose:
The Project Coordinator provides day-to-day coordination and operational management for one or more active research studies focused on health behavior change among diverse and underserved populations. The position works closely with the Principal Investigator, Project Director, and collaborating investigators to translate grant objectives into effective study operations, maintain progress toward scientific and operational milestones, support fiscal and regulatory compliance, and ensure the quality and continuity of participant recruitment, enrollment, retention, data collection, and intervention delivery.
This is a hands-on project-coordination role. In addition to coordinating study operations and supporting the work of research staff, the Project Coordinator maintains direct involvement with participants. The position conducts bilingual study visits and assessments, delivers behavioral interventions using motivational interviewing and other research-based strategies, and serves as a resource for culturally and linguistically appropriate participant engagement. The role requires sound judgment, strong project-management skills, and the ability to balance project-level coordination with direct research implementation.
This is a remote position.
All offers of employment are contingent upon a criminal background check and education verification satisfactory to Brown University.
This is a grant funded, fixed term position with a current end date of June 30, 2027, which may be extended based upon available funding.
