Project Coordinator
Summary
Coordinates construction and steel fabrication projects, managing schedules, site activities, and quality inspections while liaising with clients and contractors.
Job Description:
- Coordinate and oversee the administrative,operational, and logistical aspects of construction and steel fabricationprojects.
- Liaise with clients, consultants,subcontractors, and suppliers to understand project requirements and ensuresmooth project execution.
- Plan and coordinate project schedules, worksequences, manpower, materials, and site activities to meet project timelines.
- Attend project and site meetings, follow up onaction items, and coordinate the resolution of technical, design, andsite-related issues.
- Coordinate and monitor site personnel andsubcontractors to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings,specifications, and quality requirements.
- Conduct and coordinate quality inspections atthe workshop and project sites.
- Monitor the effective utilization of manpower,materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.
- Track project progress, identify potentialdelays and risks, and implement practical solutions to keep projects onschedule.
- Ensure project works are completed within theapproved schedule, budget, and required quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safetyrequirements, safe work procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain proper records of project materials,tools, equipment, and machinery, and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Prepare and compile project documentation,including inspection reports, site records, progress reports, claims, and otherproject-related documents.
- Prepare Method Statements (MOS), MethodStatement Risk Assessments (MSRA), presentations, and other documents forclient and consultant submission.
- Provide regular project updates and progressreports to management and the project team.
- Identify opportunities to improve projectcoordination, work processes, and overall operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties and ad-hoc assignments asassigned by management.
- Job Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in Structural Steel, Construction, or a related industry.
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or higher qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, site activities, quality requirements, and workplace safety practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Tekla Structures.
- Good spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with local and international clients.
- Comfortable working at project sites and in outdoor environments when required.Class 3 Driving Licence will be an added advantage.5-day work week.
