Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor civil and structural works for tunnelling construction activities.
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Site Engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Review and coordinate construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, technical submissions, and relevant engineering documents.
  • Ensure that construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate interfaces between civil, structural, M&E and other disciplines to minimise site clashes and construction delays.
  • Attend site coordination meetings and technical discussions with consultants, subcontractors and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor site progress and identify technical or coordination issues that may affect project schedule and quality.
  • Follow up on RFI, technical queries, submissions, inspections, approvals and design-related matters.
  • Assist in resolving site technical issues and coordinate with the design team where necessary.
  • Monitor and follow up on the progress of structural and civil works, including tunnelling, excavation, temporary works, structural works and associated railway infrastructure works.
  • Ensure that site works comply with relevant requirements, project specifications, drawings and applicable Singapore standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of project coordination, submissions, approvals and site matters.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager or management.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil and structural construction, preferably in major infrastructure, railway, MRT or tunnelling projects.
  • Candidates with experience working on underground railway projects or tunnelling works will have an advantage.
  • Good understanding of civil and structural construction processes and site coordination.
  • Experience in coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and multiple project disciplines.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings, specifications and technical documents.
  • Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as effectively within a project team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of AutoCAD/BIM will be an advantage.
