Project Coordinator - Dashboard & Reporting

Summary

The Project Coordinator will support submarine sustainment programs by transforming project data into reporting, scheduling, and performance insights using Power BI, Primavera P6, and SharePoint. ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Manager - Submarine Sustainment and Nuclear (SSN), you'll play a key role in supporting one of Australia's most significant and complex defence programs, helping shape the future of Australia's submarine capability.

Partnering with project managers, planners and stakeholders, you'll transform project data into reporting, scheduling and performance insights that support critical decision-making and project delivery outcomes. Leveraging Power BI, Primavera P6 and SharePoint, you'll contribute to project controls activities while building valuable experience within a nationally significant defence environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project dashboards, reports and performance metrics using Power BI and related systems.
  • Support project planning, scheduling and project controls activities using Primavera P6.
  • Produce weekly, monthly and executive-level reporting to support program decision-making.
  • Monitor project performance, milestones, risks and key deliverables, providing timely insights and analysis.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy and data quality.
  • Maintain project documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You are an analytical and detail-oriented project professional who enjoys working with data, reporting and project performance metrics. Whether your background is in project controls, PMO, project coordination, reporting or scheduling, you're motivated by turning information into insights that support successful project delivery.

You will bring:

  • 2-3 years' experience in project coordination, reporting, scheduling or project controls.
  • Experience using Power BI to develop or maintain dashboards and reports.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and project scheduling principles.
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience using SharePoint or similar document management systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach and passion for improving project performance through data-driven insights.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
