Project Coordinator / Portfolio Analyst

Salary: Up to $800/day + GST (ABN)

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator / Portfolio Analyst to join a growing portfolio team within the insurance sector.

This is an initial 12-month contract opportunity, with a strong likelihood of extension.

The role will support portfolio governance, reporting, financial tracking and delivery coordination across a range of strategic initiatives. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, supporting governance forums, executive reporting and ensuring accurate portfolio information is available to support decision-
making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support portfolio governance activities, including steering committees, governance forums, agendas, minutes and action tracking
• Prepare executive reporting, dashboards and governance packs
• Manage RAID processes, including risks, issues, dependencies and decisions
• Support project financial tracking, including budgets, forecasts, actuals and variance reporting
• Assist with investment governance, approvals and portfolio controls
• Maintain portfolio reporting accuracy and support continuous improvement of PMO processes

Key Requirements:

• 3–5+ years’ experience in a Portfolio Analyst, PMO, Project Coordinator or Project Controls role
• Experience supporting large-scale projects, programmes or portfolios
• Strong experience preparing governance packs, executive reporting and committee papers
• Solid understanding of RAID management, project governance and delivery reporting
• Strong financial literacy with experience tracking project financial information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Office 365 skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

Desirable:

• Financial services or insurance industry experience
• Experience working within Agile, SAFe or traditional delivery environments
• Experience with Jira, Confluence or portfolio management tools
• PMO or project management certification

Contract Details:

• 12-month contract with potential extension
