Project Coordinator – The Center for Student Diversity & Inclusion

The Project Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, logistical, and project management support for The Center. Key responsibilities include coordinating events, managing departmental communications and marketing initiatives, and supervising student staff. This role serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling calendar management, travel arrangements, and program preparation. The position requires strict confidentiality, discretion, and the ability to adapt to evolving organizational needs.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Program Development and Execution:
    • Implement a portfolio of student-focused and university-wide programs, initiatives, and events aimed at fostering a culture of community engagement & support (e.g., roundtables, cultural celebrations, lectures)
    • Manage all logistical aspects, including scheduling, venue reservations, catering, and technology needs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Management:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between various stakeholders, including collaborations student organizations, academic departments, student affairs, and external community partners.
    • Establish and maintain strong working relationships to ensure program alignment with institutional strategic goals.
  • Budget and Resource Oversight:
    • ○ Manage the allocated program budgets, track expenses, process invoices, contracts and ensure responsible use of university resources. ○ Identify and secure necessary resources to successfully execute projects.
  • Communication and Marketing:
    • Develop and implement communication plans to effectively promote programs to the target audience (students, faculty, staff, alumni). This often involves creating content for social media, email newsletters, and university websites.
    • Co-Supervise our Center Social Media Student Intern & Creative Content Ambassadors
  • Assessment and Reporting:
    • Prepare detailed reports summarizing program outcomes, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, HS Diploma/GED required
  • Three to five years’ of project management and/or relevant work experience required
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered for the position

  • This is a fixed term position, expected to last through mid-January 2027
