Project Coordinator
This Opportunity
WSP is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to provide additional support to our growing Power Delivery, Underground Transmission Line Department, on- site in our New York City office.
The Project Coordinator will be an integral member of our engineering team, expected to work collaboratively with our technical and administrative teams, support ongoing and new project initiatives, and become instrumental in helping produce consistent quality products.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the team deliver high-quality work products on schedule, identify and solve recurring challenges, and contribute a strategic and forward-thinking mindset that helps set WSP apart from our competitors.
The day-to-day activities will produce a product consistent with WSP’s mission statement and guidance from management, including, but not limited to, the following specific responsibilities:
Your Impact
Coordination Support
Support engineering teams in the planning, execution, and closeout of projects
Maintain project logs, trackers, and status reports
Monitor project status and assist with schedule updates
Assist in identifying project risks, bottlenecks, and recurring issues
Prepare meeting minutes, track action items, and follow up with team members on outstanding commitments
Deliverable Support
Manage document control activities including transmittals, requests for information, tracking incoming and outgoing documents, and maintaining project filing systems
Provide editorial review of deliverables as a part of quality control
Maintain accurate project records
Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate information between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
Coordinate client deliverables and communications through various applications as directed by project leadership (i.e. SharePoint, Procore, ProjectSight, etc.)
Directly communicate with clients regarding projects
Continuous Improvement
Support and maintain company project tracking systems, databases, and collaboration tools
Identify and participate in opportunities to improve department processes and standards
Support implementation of department procedures and best practices and help maintain consistency across projects
Who You Are
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-education experience in related job capacity.
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of applications, (i.e. Word, Excel)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work within a structure of established procedures
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Communications, or related field
Knowledge of Engineering and Energy sectors is helpful but not required.
1+ years previous experience supporting projects, engineering teams, document control, administrative operations, or similar coordination functions is preferred
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft application suites is preferred
Familiarity with other applications such as Bluebeam, ProjectWise, SmartSheet, and Visio
Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $55,400 – $83,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
