Project Director
Summary
Oversee large civil engineering and infrastructure projects in Singapore, coordinating teams, budgets, and stakeholders to deliver rail, water, or transit projects on time and safely.
Work Location: Changi
Working Hrs: Monday to Friday: 08:00 –18:00; Alternate Saturday: 08:00 –18:00
Job Responsibilities
· Lead and manage large-scale civil engineeringand infrastructure projects throughout the full project lifecycle, includingplanning, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning andproject close-out.
· Develop and monitor project master schedules,budgets, cash flow, resource plans, key milestones and project performancetargets.
· Oversee engineering, procurement andconstruction activities to ensure projects are delivered according to theapproved scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety requirements.
· Coordinate with clients, consultants,contractors, government agencies, joint-venture partners and internaldepartments on project execution and technical matters.
· Review technical proposals, constructionmethodologies, tender documents, contract requirements and project executionplans.
· Manage contractual and commercial matters,including variations, claims, progress payments, cost control and contractcompliance.
· Identify and manage project risks relating todesign, approvals, cost, schedule, construction, safety and stakeholdercoordination.
· Provide leadership and direction tomultidisciplinary project teams and coordinate the performance of relevantfunctional departments.
· Monitor site progress and resolve majortechnical, contractual, operational and coordination issues.
· Ensure all project activities comply withrelevant statutory requirements, approved specifications, quality standards andworkplace safety requirements.
· Prepare regular project reports and providemanagement with updates on project performance, key risks and recommendedcorrective actions.
· Support business development, tender evaluationand project feasibility assessment when required.
· Ensureproper project completion, handover, documentation and close-out.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, hydrostructure or a related discipline.
- At least 20 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, infrastructure or construction project management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale Singapore LTA infrastructure projects, preferably involving railways, MRT, water infrastructure, dams, foundation works, Hydro-power Station Project or transit-oriented developments.
- Experience working on projects in Singapore or other international.
- Good knowledge of project planning, design management, tendering, contract administration, cost control and construction management.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
- Proven track record in managing core key teams of a minimum of 20 personnel.
- Able to travel for overseas assignments and work beyond normal working hours when project requirements arise.
