Project Engineer (ACMV)

The ACMV Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the engineering, technical coordination, and execution of ACMV projects. The role may be deployed across different project stages, including ongoing construction projects and post-TOP projects involving defects rectification, outstanding works, testing and commissioning, and project close-out.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, execution, and completion of ACMV project works
  • Support projects at various stages, including ongoing construction, post-TOP defects rectification, outstanding works, and project close-out
  • Perform ACMV calculations, including heat load, pump sizing, airflow, chilled water systems, chiller sizing and configuration, duct sizing, and fan sizing
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and ACMV design requirements
  • Prepare and review shop drawings, technical submissions, method statements, and material submissions
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities
  • Supervise ACMV installation and rectification works to ensure compliance with specifications, quality, safety, and project schedules
  • Coordinate site inspections, testing and commissioning, and defects rectification activities
  • Monitor project progress, costs, outstanding works, and timely closure of defects
  • Resolve technical and site coordination issues
  • Assist with progress claims, variation orders, project reports, as-built drawings, and handover documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and safe work practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ACMV projects within the construction industry
  • Experience in ACMV project execution, site coordination, and/or defects rectification works
  • Able to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage project timelines, costs, and site priorities effectively
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced project and construction environment
