We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Project Engineer to manage M&E projects from planning through completion. The role requires strong site coordination, technical knowledge, documentation skills, and the ability to resolve practical construction issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise ACMV, electrical, fire protection and general M&E works.
  • Review tender drawings, construction drawings, specifications, scope of work and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and update shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, risk assessments and work programmes.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Attend site meetings, technical meetings, inspections and testing activities.
  • Plan daily and weekly work activities, manpower, materials, tools and equipment.
  • Brief supervisors and workers clearly on the work scope, sequence, quality and safety requirements.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to the approved drawings and programme.
  • Identify technical issues, site constraints and interface problems early, and propose practical solutions.
  • Conduct site measurements and verify quantities for procurement, progress claims and variation works.
  • Prepare quotations, variation orders, progress claims and supporting records where required.
  • Coordinate material procurement, delivery schedules and subcontractor activities.
  • Carry out quality inspections and ensure defective or incomplete works are rectified promptly.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, authority inspections and project handover.
  • Maintain proper records, including progress reports, photographs, inspection forms, test reports and as-built information.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, approved method statements and permit-to-work procedures.
  • Support urgent, night, weekend or public-holiday works when required by the project.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in Singapore construction, M&E or A&A projects is preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with a responsible attitude and willingness to learn may be considered.
  • Able to read and understand M&E drawings, specifications and construction details.
  • Working knowledge of ACMV, electrical and fire protection systems will be an advantage.
  • Able to prepare technical documents and communicate clearly in English.
  • Possess good coordination, planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willing to work on site and adjust working hours according to project requirements.
  • Class 3 driving licence will be an advantage.
