Project Engineer

Summary

Project Engineer plans and tracks marine cable installation projects, maintaining technical documentation and coordinating with teams to ensure smooth execution.

  • Assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including cable route maps, installation spread lists, deck layouts, lay/burial parameters, and as‑built records.
  • Support preparation of project execution plans, method statements, procedures, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
  • Coordinate technical inputs for route engineering, burial assessments, installation methodologies, and interface with survey, HDD, vessel and shore teams.
  • Assist in managing project interfaces with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in client, supplier, and subcontractor meetings, providing technical clarifications and updating on engineering and installation readiness.
  • Assist in mobilization planning for vessels and spreads, including equipment readiness, spares lists, and certification status.
  • Support management of subcontractors by reviewing method statements, monitoring performance, and tracking deliverables.
  • Support the procurement process by developing technical specifications for tenders and evaluating vendor bids.
  • Contribute to project risk registers, identifying technical and execution risks and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Support lessons‑learned capture and project post implementation review.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
  • Min 3 years of experience in project management, especially larger projects with established firms.
  • PMP certification and PMO experience required.
  • Marine Construction or Offshore industry-related experience preferred.
  • Experience in Agile teams;
  • Strong project coordination skills with excellent verbal and written ability.
  • Proficiency with related software tools including but not limited to MS Office, etc.
