As part of our continued growth, we're building a new headquarters and are looking for an engineer for a 9-12 month contract to coordinate its delivery.
Role Summary:
Ashgrove Renewables is seeking a solutions focused Project Engineer to coordinate the delivery of our new headquarters development in Mallow. This hands-on, fully onsite role combines engineering design with project implementation, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering and design teams, contractors etc. to coordinate and deliver all aspects of the build.
Responsibilities:
- Support the PM in the delivery of our new development from concept through to installation, commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate cross functional teams day-to-day ensuring timely delivery of the HQ development project.
- Support the PM with the plan, programme and oversee mechanical / electrical installations.
- Develop and manage the project programme and monitor progress.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations and procure materials and subcontractors.
- Manage contractor schedules and site activities ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standard.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, identifying risks, delays and mitigation plans.
- Attend site meetings and record actions.
- Produce and update CAD drawings and construction details.
- Assist with reviewing layouts and engineering drawings to support project delivery.
- Support the preparation of cost estimates, budgets and implementation plans.
- Work closely with the PM to coordinate project schedules and minimise operational disruption.
- Inform senior management of project progress, risks, delays and project milestones with the PM through regular reporting.
Requirements
- Degree or qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Building Services or Construction Engineering - or similar.
- Construction project delivery experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (essential).
- Programme coordination experience
- Good understanding of construction drawings and technical detailing.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and workstreams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Fluent verbal and written English.
