Project Engineer
JobSummary:
Seeking a Project Engineer with marine, shipyard, offshore, or heavy engineering experience to support project planning, execution, and coordination. The role involves managing schedules and milestones, coordinating with cross-functional teams and subcontractors, monitoring project progress, and ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in leading and managing the project on site and updating of project plan, progress and final reports needed for the periodic management meetings.
- Prepare costing during quotation stage, plan and manage project budget including selection and management of sub-contractors.
- Monitor compliance of all project manpower, including sub-contractors on the shipyard management system and achieve the objectives and targets related to quality, occupational health, safety, security and environment.
- Lead the daily vessel safety coordination committee meeting and manage the activities to ensure on-time results and responses to action items including follow-up with other departments, external suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Plan and manage project budget including selection and management of sub-contractors.
- Coordinate with other department managers to monitor milestones and project deadlines.
- Analyse data and information to recommend and ensure continuous process improvement.
- Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company’s quality, safety, health and environmental (QSHE) policies, practices and procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Naval Architecture or related discipline.
- Diploma holders will require 2 years of working experience.
- Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task.
- A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Preparedness for overseas assignments at times.
