Summary

On-site engineer installs, commissions, and maintains autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automation systems at customer sites, troubleshooting ROS, PLCs, and related tech.

Key Responsibility #1

Own on-site execution of automation projects, including installation, commissioning and system readiness at customer locations.

Key Responsibility #2

Ensure successful deployment and post-go-live support by coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Job Description

• Oversee the installation and activation of Automation systems at customer locations.

• Conduct thorough system and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AMRs, ROS navigation, plc's and associated software.

• Provide comprehensive training to customer personnel on AMR operations and maintenance procedures.

• Document commissioning processes and maintain detailed records, including deployment details, checklists, photos, and SAT reports.

• Identify and propose potential improvements to AMR performance and user experience.

• Develop relations with customer's operations or maintenance teams.

• Participate in monthly KT sessions on version upgrades and bug-fixes

• Coordinate with the remote support team for an efficient handover of projects during the hypercare phase.


• Update weekly reports regularly, highlighting progress, challenges, and resolutions

• Perform preventive maintenance of systems every quarter and replace components if necessary.

• Predict and notify the team lead of any safety issues to be addressed on-site, ensuring a proactive approach.

• Travel to customer locations, domestic and overseas, as and when required.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or related fields)

• 2 - 4 years of experience in robotics, automation, or industrial systems

• Hands-on experience with AMRs, ROS/ROS2, PLCs, or similar technologies

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently in on-site environments

• Good communication skills for customer interaction and training

• Willingness to travel frequently
