BW Water Project Engineer
We are partnered in the construction of a state-of-the-art semiconductor fabrication facility (fab) in Arizona, and seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the full engineering and support commissioning activities for a ultra-pure water (UPW) and wastewater treatment equipment installation. This is a critical, high-precision role: semiconductor manufacturing requires extremely strict water quality standards, and all systems must meet semiconductor industry specifications, environmental regulations, and the fab’s aggressive construction timeline.
Bachelor's degree or greater in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or other relevant degree

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of process, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, civil and structural disciplines as it pertains to the design and installation of the equipment.- Responsible for ensuring all engineering deliverables are developed, reviewed and submitted per the direction of Project Management.
- Ensure compliance to the project schedule and highlight issues with the team upon identification
- Coordinate between engineering department leads to ensure communication is made in the development of all project documentation. Facilitate regular meetings to ensure communication and follow through between disciplines.
- Develop an extensive understanding of the design and be able to answer questions or provide solutions when asked by Project Management, Clients, or construction representatives.
- Provide regular updates on engineering activities as required to support project management such as:
- Progress updates (including % complete)
- Estimate to complete
- Labor estimates
- Attend regular meetings with engineering and clients to provide the technical point of contact for questions, updates and issue resolutions.
- Support equipment selection, procurement, and commissioning.
- Provide review of engineering deliverables to ensure completeness, accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Be available onsite 5 days/week in a construction environment as needed or travel as necessary to facilitate engineering document development.
Requirements
EducationBachelor's degree or greater in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or other relevant degree

5+ years of work experience related to position
Preferred
- In depth experience with multi-discipline design engineering & construction knowledge in industrial wastewater, water, or other similar chemical systems.
- Understanding water treatment equipment, high-purity piping (PVDF, electropolished stainless steel), and clean construction practices.
- Experience with UPW systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Semiconductor experience.
- Construction experience.
- A/E and or EPC experience.
