Job Summary:
As a
Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of
pipe fabrication projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning,
design, fabrication, installation, and completion of pipe-related projects
while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and
project requirements. Your technical expertise and project management skills
will contribute to the company's growth and reputation in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Design:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other
stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Participate in the conceptual and detailed design of
pipe systems, ensuring adherence to codes, standards, and specifications.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets,
considering resource allocation and timeline constraints.
- Material Procurement and Fabrication:
- Coordinate with procurement teams to source and
acquire necessary materials for pipe fabrication.
- Oversee fabrication processes, ensuring the quality
and precision of pipe components and assemblies.
- Monitor progress and troubleshoot any fabrication-related
issues to ensure timely completion.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that
fabricated pipes meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Perform inspections and tests on fabricated components
to verify their integrity and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with quality assurance personnel to
address any non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Project Management:
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets
effectively to achieve project goals.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders,
addressing any concerns or changes that may arise.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation
strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Installation and Commissioning:
- Oversee the installation of fabricated pipe systems,
collaborating with construction teams and contractors.
- Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
to ensure proper functionality of installed systems.
- Address any installation challenges or discrepancies
promptly to maintain project progress.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including
design drawings, fabrication records, and as-built documentation.
- Generate progress reports, documentation of project
milestones, and final project summaries.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Prioritize and enforce HSE protocols to ensure a safe
working environment for all project personnel.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
associated with fabrication and installation processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil
Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven work experience in project engineering, preferably
within the pipe fabrication.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, pipe
systems, and fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency in computer skills such as AUTOCAD,OUTLOOK,WORD,EXCEL and JD EDWARDS a plus
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations
related to pipe fabrication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for
effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiar with various metallurgies and understanding of non destructive examination methods,heat treatments,paint and welding procedure.
