About the Role
ByteBridge is looking for a Project Engineer – Data Center (Electrical / MEP) to support the delivery of data center fit-out projects.
The role will be responsible for coordinating electrical and MEP works, technical submissions, site execution, testing & commissioning, and project handover. The ideal candidate should have an Electrical Engineering / MEP background with experience working on data center or other mission-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Project Manager in the end-to-end delivery of data center fit-out projects.
Coordinate electrical and MEP installation works with consultants, contractors, vendors, and site teams.
Review technical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, material submissions, and method statements.
Coordinate electrical systems including LV distribution, UPS, PDU/RPP, busway, grounding/earthing, cable containment, and associated power infrastructure.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, fire protection, controls/BMS and other MEP disciplines to resolve interface issues.
Conduct site inspections and monitor installation progress, workmanship, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and site activities to meet project schedules.
Identify technical and site issues and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.
Support QA/QC inspections, ITPs, testing & commissioning, punch-list closure, and final handover.
Ensure works comply with project EHS requirements, quality standards, and data center operating requirements.
Maintain project documentation including progress reports, inspection records, test reports, redline/as-built drawings, and handover documentation.
Attend project, technical, coordination, and site meetings as required.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, MEP Engineering, or related discipline.
3+ years of experience in electrical/MEP project engineering, construction, or fit-out projects.
Strong preference for candidates with data center or mission-critical facility experience.
Good understanding of electrical distribution and MEP systems within a data center environment.
Able to read and coordinate MEP drawings, electrical single-line diagrams (SLD), layouts, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
Experience with technical/material submissions, RFIs, method statements, ITPs, inspections, and testing & commissioning.
Experience coordinating consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and site teams.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit/BIM is an advantage.
Strong site coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Comfortable working in an active construction and data center environment.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in data center fit-out, MEP contractors, electrical contractors, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale commercial/industrial projects are preferred.
Hands-on experience with electrical systems, MEP coordination, QA/QC, testing & commissioning, and data center project delivery will be highly advantageous.
