Project Engineer (Electrical)
- Provide technical support to the Project Manager and assist in the planning, coordination and execution of project and site activities.
- Prepare, review and update engineering documentation, including drawings, risk assessments, method statements, safe work procedures, and operation & maintenance manuals.
- Finalise technical specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) to support procurement and purchase order issuance.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment and fabricated items.
- Coordinate and supervise site teams and subcontractors during equipment installation, erection, testing and commissioning to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and relevant authorities on technical matters, engineering requirements, submissions and project coordination.
- Plan and schedule site activities in accordance with the overall project programme, ensuring works are completed safely and within the required timeline.
- Monitor construction activities from commencement through completion, testing, commissioning and project handover.
- Supervise subcontractor works to ensure compliance with approved design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate shop drawing and equipment submissions, inspections, testing requirements and commissioning activities with clients, consultants, authorities and subcontractors.
- Prepare and update shop drawings, submission drawings and as-built drawings.
- Prepare technical submissions, material submissions and installation methodologies as required for project approval and execution.
- Monitor site progress and prepare progress updates, forecasts and project reports.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor subcontractor schedules and work activities.
- Prepare and submit site activity reports and progress reports.
- Work closely with the Project, Procurement and Finance teams to support project execution and administrative requirements.
- Attend client, consultant and project coordination meetings when required.
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Management.
