Your role

Bring your curiosity to work as our next Project Engineer – Energy Conversion Solutions.

You will be part of the Energy Conversion Solutions team within the Oil-Free Air Division and report to the Hiring Manager Energy Conversion Solutions.

In this role, your mission is to develop and industrialize innovative energy conversion solutions, guiding products from concept and prototype to successful series production.

Your day-to-day

Design and optimize mechanical, thermodynamic, and control systems in collaboration with internal experts and design teams.
Develop products and components using 3D CAD tools and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Define, implement, and validate control strategies, translating them into software and hardware solutions.
Coordinate prototype assembly, testing activities, and technical validations to ensure product performance and reliability.
Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, logistics, service, and international engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Support production and field installations by troubleshooting technical issues, implementing improvements, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Your skills and experience

Engineering degree or equivalent through experience.
Strong passion for product development, supported by broad technical knowledge in mechanical and industrial engineering.
Experience with CAD and engineering software; knowledge of Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, E-plan, or Siemens TIA Portal is considered an advantage.
Strong communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at different organizational levels.
Experience in a product development environment is considered a strong asset.

Your job location

This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to divide your time between working remotely and working on-site at Atlas Copco Airpower in Wilrijk, Belgium.
