Project Engineer (Fire Protection)

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing fire alarm and electrical system projects from initiation to completion. This includes design review, installation supervision, testing & commissioning, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with main contractor, consultant and owner for project requirement
  • In charge of material submission, design review and progress claim
  • Plan for site work installation, worker deployment and material requisition
  • Monitor cost estimating, developing a budget and resource planning
  • Prepare project progress reports, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain proper documentation for drawings, approvals, and test reports.
  • Monitor project cost and control variations within budget.
  • Working with vendors in controlling cost and quality of products
  • Implement quality assurance and safety procedures on site.

Education, Qualifications and Experience requirement:

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • Experience in project management would be of added advantage
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to travel and work at project sites as required.
  • IT literate
