PROJECT ENGINEER FOR DATA ANALYTICS AND SIMULATION (F/M/D)
Join our Technics & Technology team in Zurich. The team has a unique competence in Engineering Simulation and Data Analytics. The team develops methods and tools for application to real engineering problems, covering a variety of sectors, ranging from energy and processes to water and infrastructures, though environment. This competence unit is seeking to hire a new person, with a dual profile: CFD and Data Analytics.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute simulation studies to assess the feasibility and performance of engineering systems and processes
- Analyze, process, and interpret data from sensors, monitoring systems, and industrial IoT platforms
- Apply machine learning algorithms to both real-world sensor data and synthetic simulation data
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to translate technical challenges into data-driven solutions
- Support the development of digital engineering, analytics, and simulation workflows

YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (preferably mechanical engineering) or applied mathematics
- Additional advanced training in data science
- Hands-on experience with industrial CFD software such as Star-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, or OpenFOAM as well as with advanced data analytics platforms is a strong advantage
- Capability to code in Python and knowledge of Azure cloud systems or interest to develop
- Proficient in English with basic German language skills
