Project engineer - HV

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning execution and completion of high voltage (HV) electrical works including substation installations switchgear transformers and cabling.

• Review technical drawings specifications and scope of work for HV systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and authority regulations (e.g. DEWA ADDC SEWA).

• Coordinate with consultants clients and internal teams for timely execution and resolution of technical issues.

• Supervise the installation testing and commissioning of HV equipment and ensure proper integration with overall electrical systems.

• Prepare and track project schedules material submittals RFIs and progress reports specific to HV works.

• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of HV equipment as per approved material schedules and specifications.

• Manage subcontractors and ensure quality control safety compliance and adherence to approved procedures and standards.

• Liaise with local utility authorities for inspection approvals and energization of HV systems.

• Support the preparation of as-built drawings operation & maintenance manuals and project close-out documentation.

• Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards during all stages of HV work.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• 610 years of relevant experience in HV projects preferably in the UAE or GCC region.

• Strong knowledge of HV equipment (e.g. GIS MV/LV Switchgear Transformers RMUs).
