Project Engineer

From our Recruitment & Outsourcing team, we help large companies (mostly belonging to the IBEX 35) to find the best talent for their projects, both nationally and internationally.

We are currently looking for a PROJECT ENGINEER to join an industrial project for a world-leading company in the chemical sector.

What you'll do

• Participate in the definition of the technical scope of new projects and plant modifications.
• Develop and update piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Perform preliminary technical feasibility studies.
• Prepare technical specifications for equipment and facilities.
• Perform preliminary cost estimates (CAPEX) and support the preparation of investment budgets.
• Request and evaluate technical offers from suppliers.
• Prepare data sheets for static and dynamic equipment.
• Review technical documentation generated by external engineering firms and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain line lists, valve lists, and project-associated documentation.
• Prepare purchase specifications and technical requisitions.
• Coordinate process, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines according to project needs.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable legal requirements.
• Manage technical documentation and document control for projects.
• Provide technical support to the procurement, construction, and commissioning phases when required.

What we're looking for

• Degree or Master's in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of industrial processes and plant equipment.
• Experience in the preparation and interpretation of P&IDs.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation, piping, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to perform cost estimations and technical project evaluations.
• Proficiency in office tools. Experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or other technical design tools will be valued.
