Project Engineer

Build Projects. Solve Problems. Build Your Career.

At iiCON Construction, our Project Engineers do more than process paperwork—they help make projects happen.

You’ll work alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, architects, engineers, and trade partners while gaining hands-on experience in both the field and office. From drawings and specifications to RFIs, submittals, coordination, and problem solving, you’ll be involved in the details that keep commercial construction moving.

Our goal is simple: develop strong Project Engineers into future Project Managers and construction leaders.

What You’ll Do

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Review trade partner submittals for compliance with contract documents
  • Use Bluebeam for drawing markups and quantity takeoffs
  • Participate in project meetings and help solve design, field, and coordination issues
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to keep projects moving
  • Assist with schedule, procurement, cost, and project coordination
  • Spend time in both the office and field learning how projects are actually built

Who We’re Looking For

You’re analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. You communicate directly, take ownership of your work, and enjoy figuring out solutions when something doesn’t make sense.

You can work independently, but you’re also comfortable collaborating with a team and talking through issues in the field.

Qualifications

  • 0–5 years of commercial construction experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant internships, trade experience, or construction coursework will be considered
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
  • Bluebeam experience preferred
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Why iiCON?

At iiCON, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with experienced construction professionals and company leadership while gaining exposure to multiple parts of the construction process.

Our work includes commercial, education, government, renovation, and unique specialty projects throughout Colorado.

You won’t be limited to one narrow task. As your capability grows, so will your responsibility.

Learn the business. Take ownership. Solve problems. Grow into leadership.

Ready to Build Something?

If you want to learn commercial construction, take on real responsibility, and build a path toward Project Management, we’d like to meet you.
