- Serve as the in-house engineering resource for technology and equipment upgrades, including drives, controllers, and automation systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through process enhancements, automation, and safety improvements.
- Lead and manage capital and expense projects from concept through start-up and completion.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, funding requests, and execution plans.
- Oversee engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Deliver solutions that meet technical, operational, quality, and performance objectives.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree
- A minimum of 3 years experience leading capital projects
- Prior experience in manufacturing or other heavy industrial projects is considered an asset
- Ability to successfully execute within a team environment
- Ability to lead cross-functional project teams involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed in a cost-effective, timely, reliable, and safe manner
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
- Must demonstrate ownership, initiative, attention-to-detail, and a drive to ensure things are done right the first time.
- Above-average planning and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
