Laidig Systems, Inc. is actively seeking to fill the position of Project Engineer. This role will report directly to the Sales Order Engineering Manager. Under broad direction, the Project Engineer will work from established conventions to design and develop components and systems that have world-wide application.
Duties and Responsibilities – How You’ll Make an Impact:
· Understand customer material handling challenges and provide meaningful solutions
· Provide leadership and technical direction on cross-functional project groups in a way that promotes teamwork
· Determine specifications through engineering calculation, layouts and evaluation of the existing internal knowledge base
· Understand applicable manufacturing processes and be able to appropriately convey in print construction
· Oversee and technically support the manufacturing assembly, field start up and field implementation of Laidig industrial equipment
· Provide technical expertise as required to the rest of the organization
· Collaborate with other departments to help everyone accomplish mutual project goals
· Contribute to a positive culture that supports both relational health and operational excellence
Position Requirements – What You’ll Bring to the Team:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering
· Exposure to mechanical, hydraulic and controls systems
· Exposure to material handling and characteristics of materials preferred
· Proficiency in 3D modeling, SolidWorks preferred
· Exposure to PDM systems, dbWorks preferred
· Exposure to ERP systems, INFOR preferred
· Professional communication skills
