Project Engineer / Proj. Coordinator
JOB OVERVIEW
The
Project Engineer provides administrative, technical, and coordination
support for engineering and project execution activities. This role serves as
the central point of communication between engineering disciplines, project
management, procurement, and construction to ensure project deliverables are
completed accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with company standards.
The
position is responsible for tracking engineering deliverables, coordinating
meetings, monitoring project progress, and supporting project teams throughout
all phases of project execution.
Project Coordination
· Coordinate engineering activities across
multidisciplinary project teams.
· Monitor and track project schedules, milestones,
and deliverables.
· Assist in the preparation and maintenance of
project reports.
· Support project managers and lead engineers in
day-to-day project activities.
· Follow up on action items to ensure timely
completion.
Communication and
Stakeholder Coordination
· Organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and
record meeting minutes.
· Facilitate internal and external communications
regarding project requirements and status updates.
Schedule and Progress
Monitoring
· Track engineering progress against project
schedules.
· Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
· Monitor outstanding deliverables and identify
potential schedule risks.
· Support project teams in developing recovery plans
when required.
Procurement and Vendor
Support
· Coordinate engineering deliverables required for
procurement activities.
· Follow up with contractors regarding outstanding
technical documentation.
· Assist in maintaining procurement tracking reports.
Quality and Compliance
· Ensure project activities comply with company
procedures, standards, and quality requirements.
· Support project audits and document reviews.
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical,
Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related field).
· Additional project management certifications are an
advantage.
· Minimum 10 years of experience in project
coordination, engineering support, or project administration.
· Experience working in engineering, construction,
manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, utilities, or industrial projects
preferred.
· Experience with multidisciplinary engineering
projects is highly desirable.
· Knowledge of engineering project lifecycle and
project execution processes.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Familiarity with project management software such
as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
· Understanding of document control systems and
engineering documentation processes.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a
fast-paced environment.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
· Team collaboration and stakeholder management.
· Ability to work independently with minimal
supervision.
