As a Project Engineer (Road Work / Tunnelling), you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assist in planning and implementing projects by reviewing and updating project plans and schedules to align with the master work program.
- Draft, review, and submit project documents such as schedules, method statements, design plans, and risk assessments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Supervise daily construction activities to ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and company standards; enforce Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) practices on-site.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality standards, promptly address issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, authorities, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
- Coordinate site inspections with clients and consultants; maintain thorough records of inspections and technical reports.
- Identify project risks and support development of mitigation strategies; regularly update risk assessments to reflect current conditions.
- Establish and maintain a document control system to manage all project documents, ensuring proper review and updates.
- Participate in regular progress meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors; report project status, highlight issues, and suggest solutions to stay on schedule.
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveying team to verify contractors’ progress payments and claims, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Take on additional duties as assigned, maintaining a proactive approach to support the Project Manager and project team.
- Conduct regular reviews of project documents, quality standards, and risk assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and address emerging concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by Professional Engineer Board.
- 5 years’ experience in Deep excavation, Pipe laying & Jacking Works, coordination with authorities, sub-contractor, etc and Accredited Construction Professional C (ACPC) by Singapore Contractors Association Ltd.
- Additional skills in AutoCAD, Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project is advantageous.
