About the Role
Savgret Consulting Services, a professional construction and infrastructure consulting firm focused on cost management and project delivery, is seeking a Project Engineer responsible for the technical coordination, planning, supervision, and execution of construction activities — ensuring projects are delivered in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, budget, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing construction activities
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts, and work programmes
- Develop and monitor work plans/schedules; coordinate daily site activities
- Coordinate technical activities among consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
- Raise RFIs and review shop drawings, submissions, and material samples
- Supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with drawings/specifications
- Monitor subcontractors, manpower, equipment, and material deployment
- Ensure quality assurance/control, coordinate inspections and testing
- Ensure HSE compliance and promote safe working practices
- Monitor cost, resources, and material usage; identify variations/additional works
- Coordinate materials and procurement with relevant teams
- Prepare project reports, maintain documentation, and track RFIs and approvals
- Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders on technical matters
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, and project handover
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in construction/project execution
- Proven experience on building, civil, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial projects
- COREN/NSE certification or membership is an added advantage
- Good knowledge of construction methods, project planning, quality control, and HSE
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management/construction software
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and construction documents
