Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer (HDB Road Work)

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily site operations for infrastructure works, including piling, roads, drainage, utility diversions, footpaths, cycling paths, reinforced concrete, and other civil engineering works.
  • Plan, monitor, and coordinate construction activities to ensure project milestones, quality standards, and project schedules are achieved.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submissions prior to implementation.
  • Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, utility agencies, and relevant authorities (HDB, LTA, PUB, NParks, SP Group, etc.) on technical and project implementation matters.
  • Coordinate utility detection, trial trenching, inspections, testing, authority clearances, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, plant, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Supervise site personnel and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), environmental, and contractual requirements.
  • Resolve technical and site issues promptly to minimise delays and maintain project progress.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, site records, and project documentation.
  • Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs), inspection requests, method statements, risk assessments, technical submissions, and other required project documentation.
  • Support the preparation of variation orders, progress claims, payment claims, and project cost control.
  • Attend site meetings, technical meetings, coordination meetings, and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore, is preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Singapore's civil engineering or infrastructure construction industry.
  • Familiar with HDB, LTA, PUB, NParks, BCA, and other statutory authority requirements.
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Good understanding of quality management systems, inspection procedures, and construction methodologies.
  • Experience in infrastructure works such as roads, drainage, utility diversions, footpaths, cycling paths, reinforced concrete, or piling works.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and perform effectively under tight project schedules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
