Project Engineer

Discussion

Dueall Construction is a large-scale exterior restoration general contractor serving multi-story residential communities throughout Florida — stucco, waterproofing (WRB) systems, structural repairs, sealants, and painting. We're in a period of rapid growth, and we're building our Operations team to match, with real, defined career paths for people who want to grow with us.

You'll own the flow of technical information on a project — submittals, RFIs, drawings, and revisions — and the field's ability to build correctly depends on how well you do it. This role is also the landing point for field leaders ready to move into project management.

What You'll Do

  • Own the submittal register end to end — preparation, transmittal, tracking, and closure to approval.
  • Administer the RFI log — screen field-originated RFIs for completeness, transmit to the design team, track responses, and distribute answers to the field.
  • Maintain drawing and revision control in Procore; confirm the field is always working from current sets.
  • Audit the inspection record against installed conditions and approved documents.
  • Enter and maintain change event, change order, and commitment records in Procore with accurate cost coding and complete backup.
  • Coordinate scope between trades and flag gaps or overlaps before they reach the field.
  • Mentor Field Engineers crossing over into the Project track.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture — or equivalent field-to-office experience.
  • Two or more years of construction project experience in a technical or supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Strong written communication — RFIs and submittal correspondence become legal project records.
  • Proficiency in Procore Submittals, RFIs, Drawings, and Specifications.
  • Basic working understanding of project budgets — schedule of values, cost codes, committed vs. actual vs. forecast cost.
  • OSHA 10 certification, minimum.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
  • Nice to Have:

    • Exterior restoration experience — stucco, framing, siding, waterproofing, or coatings.
    • Field supervision background.
    • Florida Building Code familiarity.
    • OSHA 30 certification.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Where This Role Goes

  • Typical time in role: 18–36 months.
  • Clear path to Assistant Project Manager, or cross over into the Field track as an Assistant Superintendent if you're field-inclined and hold current scope certifications.

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with regular jobsite presence; full PPE required on every site visit.
  • Ability to walk active construction sites on uneven terrain and climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Extended periods at a computer workstation; exposure to Florida outdoor conditions during site visits.

What We Offer

Our Company offers a competitive 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching, alongside comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to support your health and wellbeing. You’ll receive generous paid time off that includes PTO, floating holidays, and company paid holidays, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
