PROJECT ENGINEER

Job Summary

Lead and coordinate engineering projects by preparing schedules, monitoring compliance, mentoring teams, and ensuring quality control to meet client requirements and maintain project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications to uphold quality and safety
• Engage daily with clients to interpret their needs and represent their interests on-site
• Assign responsibilities and mentor project team members to enhance performance and project outcomes
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions to maintain project standards
• Perform quality control on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance, and report on project status to stakeholders
• Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to develop efficient project methods and maintain profitability
• Manage multiple discipline projects effectively through strong organizational and time management skills
• Apply decision-making and leadership skills to resolve project challenges and guide teams

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields
• Minimum 3 years of experience working on project sitework
• Proficient in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD
• Advanced skills in MS Office applications
• Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards
