Project Engineer (Tender) (LTA Projects)

Role purpose

Support the Project Director in delivering competitive, compliant tender submissions for engineering projects. You will coordinate planning, review technical documentation, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the bidding process.

Job Description:

• Oversee tender activities and track progress against the tender work programme
• Review environmental factors, government regulations, construction costs, and risk analysis reports to inform bid preparation
• Review tender and design drawings for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and compile tender submission documentation to meet submission requirements
• Monitor work schedules and flag deviations to the Project Director
• Ensure all outputs meet company Quality Procedures

Requirements

• Tender & contract documentation — can independently prepare and review complete tender submission packages, including drawings, cost inputs, and compliance checklists
• Regulatory and environmental review — can identify relevant government regulations and environmental factors affecting a bid and summarise their design implications
• Construction cost analysis — can review cost estimates and risk analysis reports and flag material issues for the Project Director
• Schedule monitoring — can track a tender work programme, identify slippage, and escalate appropriately
• Quality assurance in engineering outputs — applies company Quality Procedures to documentation review without supervision
• Minimum 2 years of working experience with bachelor's degree in engineering preferred, or equivalent experience preparing and reviewing engineering tender documentation in a professional setting
