Job Description & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as an M&E Engineer in Marina Bay Sands (MBS) projects or other large-scale integrated commercial developments in Singapore.
- Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids.
- Coordinate with various government agencies and utility authorities for initial site clearance and the setup of the site office.
- Report daily issues to the Project Manager / Construction Manager.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor work progress at the site.
- Continuously ensure adherence to planned timelines.
- Maintain and monitor quality control.
- Prepare and submit all daily and weekly reports as required.
- Prepare method statements and other submissions.
- Check drawings and quantities, ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the work.
- Liaise with consultants and subcontractors engaged in the project.
- Supervise and monitor the site labour force and the work of subcontractors.
- Oversee quality control and safety matters on site, ensuring that regulations are adhered to.
- Prepare complete, accurate, and timely submittal logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications.
- Be accountable for receiving approved submittals and notifying the Project Manager of any potential schedule impact.
- Assist the Project Manager by preparing all necessary supporting documents relating to change requests.
- Distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions. Include any accepted alternates or addenda with the documents.
- Schedule all required construction meetings with the required personnel, subcontractors, architects, and owners.
- Prepare correspondence with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. Examples include, but are not limited to, schedules of values, project schedules, memos, Requests for Information (RFIs), transmittals, and submittals.
- During the construction phase, proactively manage the project to achieve quality, schedule, budget, and safety objectives.
- Utilize and maintain scheduling and document management tools to track and record project performance.
- Plan work to ensure that materials, machinery, authority approvals, and site conditions are ready before work commences.
- Coordinate with authorities and clients to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of assignments.
