Project Engineer

Summary

Job Description & Requirements

  1. Minimum 3 years of proven experience as an M&E Engineer in Marina Bay Sands (MBS) projects or other large-scale integrated commercial developments in Singapore.
  2. Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids.
  3. Coordinate with various government agencies and utility authorities for initial site clearance and the setup of the site office.
  4. Report daily issues to the Project Manager / Construction Manager.
  5. Plan, schedule, and monitor work progress at the site.
  6. Continuously ensure adherence to planned timelines.
  7. Maintain and monitor quality control.
  8. Prepare and submit all daily and weekly reports as required.
  9. Prepare method statements and other submissions.
  10. Check drawings and quantities, ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the work.
  11. Liaise with consultants and subcontractors engaged in the project.
  12. Supervise and monitor the site labour force and the work of subcontractors.
  13. Oversee quality control and safety matters on site, ensuring that regulations are adhered to.
  14. Prepare complete, accurate, and timely submittal logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications.
  15. Be accountable for receiving approved submittals and notifying the Project Manager of any potential schedule impact.
  16. Assist the Project Manager by preparing all necessary supporting documents relating to change requests.
  17. Distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions. Include any accepted alternates or addenda with the documents.
  18. Schedule all required construction meetings with the required personnel, subcontractors, architects, and owners.
  19. Prepare correspondence with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. Examples include, but are not limited to, schedules of values, project schedules, memos, Requests for Information (RFIs), transmittals, and submittals.
  20. During the construction phase, proactively manage the project to achieve quality, schedule, budget, and safety objectives.
  21. Utilize and maintain scheduling and document management tools to track and record project performance.
  22. Plan work to ensure that materials, machinery, authority approvals, and site conditions are ready before work commences.
  23. Coordinate with authorities and clients to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of assignments.
