Project Engineer (Wind Turbine)

Position Overview:

We are hiring 6 Project Engineers to install, wire, commission and maintain wind turbine units to the highest quality and safety standards. You will be based out of our Makati office and deployed to project sites, which may be offshore or in mountain locations, depending on the assignment. This role suits a technically strong engineer who is comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces, takes HSE seriously, solves problems quickly, and works well in a cross-cultural team.

• Work sites: Offshore or mountain wind farms, by assignment

• Reports to: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

•Turbine installation: Install wind turbine units, ensuring quality and safety throughout.

•Cable laying and wiring: Carry out cable laying and wiring work on site.

• Commissioning: Commission wind turbine units and verify they meet specification.

• Troubleshooting: Respond quickly to electrical, mechanical and software issues, and replace components to keep the project on schedule.

• HSE compliance: Work to the highest health, safety and environmental standards while meeting project targets.

• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on mechanical and electrical installation and debugging progress. • Warehouse and spares: Manage inventory of spare parts.

• Other duties: Carry out other relevant tasks assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in electrical or mechanical engineering.

• Able to climb a wind turbine and do demanding physical work at heights, in confined spaces and in varied weather.

• Strong understanding of, and commitment to, HSE standards in wind farm environments.

• Good written and spoken English.

• Willing to be deployed to offshore or mountain project sites and to travel as assigned.

• Enjoys working in cross-cultural teams and communicating with a range of stakeholders.

• Self-motivated learner with high aspiration and discipline.

Working Conditions & Location

• Base: Makati office for planning, reporting and mobilisation.

• Deployment: Project sites may be offshore or in mountain areas; the actual location depends on the assignment.

• Physical demands: Climbing turbines, working at heights and in confined spaces, and working in various weather conditions.

• Site life: Extended site stays are likely, with accommodation and site support provided.
