Title Project Engineer I

Pay 38 - 41 per hour
If you are beginning your engineering career and have an interest in defining projects from conception through early development, join the Projects group. In this role, you will provide technical engineering support throughout the planning, design, cost estimating, risk assessment, schedule development, and pre-sanction stages of the project lifecycle for the Gas and Liquids Pipeline business units.
What You Will Do:
- Manage appropriate stakeholder engagement and support the preliminary determination of regulatory requirements.
- Support the completion of front-end engineering and design, cost estimates, and project execution strategies.
- Develop realistic and reliable project schedules and cost estimates while identifying risks, uncertainties, and likelihoods associated with project timelines and costs.
- Develop project charters for Rough Order of Magnitude through Class 3 scopes, supported by estimates and schedules to meet sponsor requirements.
- Prepare charters that define critical project information for executive management decision-making.
- Provide regular formal and informal project management updates and reporting to senior management and project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 0-3 years of related experience in oil and gas engineering, operations, project management, and/or project development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across project teams.
- Project management skills and the ability to prepare projects for development, sanction, and execution.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities and workloads.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment.
- Up to 10% travel to company offices, operating facilities, construction sites, and supplier facilities.
- Valid passport with the ability to travel and work between Canada and the United States.
