Job Summary
You will lead event planning and execution by collaborating with clients, managing vendors, coordinating logistics, and overseeing event staff to deliver seamless, impactful events that meet client goals and exceed expectations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to clarify event goals and tailor proposals accordingly
- Develop detailed event proposals and budgets aligned with client objectives
- Prepare accurate quotations and tenders for potential clients to secure business
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to optimize costs and services
- Coordinate logistics including transportation, catering, and audiovisual requirements to ensure smooth event flow
- Manage event timelines and monitor progress to meet all deadlines
- Deliver responsive and proactive customer service by addressing client needs promptly
- Maintain regular communication with clients and vendors to ensure seamless planning and execution
- Supervise and train event staff to ensure preparedness and high performance during events
- Conduct post-event evaluations and compile reports to assess success and identify improvements
- Identify and implement continuous improvements in event processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields is preferred but not required
- At least 1 years of experience in event planning, execution, account servicing or customer service, and preparing quotations and tenders
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
