As a Project Governance Manager (PMO), you will be responsible for the following duties:
Collaborate with business units to prepare comprehensive business cases, project proposals and cost-benefit analyses to support funding requests.
Prepare and present Applications for Approval (AFA) to relevant approval committees and governance forums.
Ensure project proposals meet local and global governance standards and address all necessary approval requirements.
Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify queries and facilitate timely approval decisions.
Oversee the end-to-end governance process for IT system changes, ensuring all required reviews, approvals and sign-offs are obtained before deployment.
Ensure compliance with established change management policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
Coordinate with business and IT stakeholders to track change requests and maintain proper documentation throughout the approval process.
Monitor adherence to system development lifecycle (SDLC) and change control requirements.
Serve as the key liaison between local teams and Head Office on project governance, portfolio updates and approval matters.
Ensure local project initiatives align with corporate strategies, governance requirements and reporting standards.
Coordinate with business units, IT teams and senior stakeholders to resolve governance issues and facilitate effective decision-making.
Prepare project reports, governance updates and supporting documentation for management review.
Requirements:
At least 8 years of relevant PMO, Project Management or Business Analyst experience within the banking or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of IT project governance, SDLC and change management frameworks, with experience in tools such as Jira, Confluence or ServiceNow.
