Project HSE Manager
Competency requirement
Education qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent from a reputed university.
- Certification: NEBOSH Diploma
- Certification: NEBOSH IGC
- Lead auditor ISO 14001/45001 or equivalent
- Incident investigation technique
- HSE trainings/qualifications will be added advantage
Work experience:
- Minimum 15 years' experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects/operations in the oil & gas petro-chemical industries, with at least 5 years' experience in a lead HSE position managing a team of HSE professionals, familiar with HSE & welfare requirements in O&G industry.
- Served minimum 3 years as manager
- Oil & Gas offshore/EPC knowledge will be added advantage.
Skills & competencies
- Able to lead a team of HSE professionals
- Sound understanding of HSE MS & legislative requirements
- Knowledge & experience in risk assessments, investigations, root cause analysis, audits
- Computer knowledge and proficient in English
Key responsibilities
- Have strong understanding of the HSE issues, practices and behavioral aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business
- Capable to lead a team of HSE professionals including HSE engineers, senior HSE officers etc.
- Monitor the implementation & operation of project HSEMS
- Review client HSE & legal requirements to ensure compliance
- Preparation of project specific HSE deliverables such as HSE plan, environmental/waste management, emergency plans documents, and other HSE documents as per SoW
- Perform and participate in RA, TRA/JSA, etc.
- Participate and coordinate HSE workshops
- Support and actively participate in the organization's project objectives to achieve KPIs
- Able to prioritize and handle several different tasks at the same time
- Competency in PTW/WMS system & effective management of transportation safety
- Awareness of H2S hazards & control measures
- Possess training certification to conduct proper accident investigation including but not limited to safety flashes
- Capability to fully prepare to deal with all types of emergencies at work including but not limited to emergency exercises
- Ensure that welfare requirements are followed as per client requirements
- Conduct HSE audits, inspections and incident investigation & apply root cause analysis techniques
- Ensuring project HSE requirements are met by all project personnel
- Attend meetings with client & sub-contractor
