A Project Launch Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the successful launch of a project, product, program, or service. The role ensures that all stakeholders, resources, timelines, and deliverables are aligned to achieve a smooth and effective go-live.
Your Main Responsabilities
• Provide a safe, productive and positive work environment, including housekeeping, that continuously aligns with EH&S regulations and specifications.
• Responsible for plant launch readiness for the project.
• Contribute/support lean line design workshops at plant with project & plant team.
• Responsible for continuous improvement of value stream map for the project.
• Responsible for PT/MPT/EMPT/customer events with complete support of PML (any equipment issues), plant point of contact with customer.
• Responsible to review/agree/escalate functional items/action (quality/logistics/engineering/finance/HR) regarding the project.
• Responsible to provide feedback to project team in terms of plant needs/requirement (equipment parts/layout constraints/value stream) for the project.
• Responsible to maintain the launch book/KPIs from start of the project and record all run data.
• Leadership: Provide direction and leadership in Molding & Assembly for the Manufacturing readiness
• Lead the successful handover of new Project to Manufacturing Operations, ensuring seamless integration of processes and systems.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Development Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Risk Management: Identify and reduce risks in manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Maintain and cohere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory agency requirements, IATF standards, and customer requirements, ensuring compliance across all manufacturing processes with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Your Ideal Background
• Technical Diploma, Min BAC+5 (Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.)
• Must have 4-5 years of experience in engineering process.
• Previous experience of Automotive systems and Automatic Assembly process.
• Proven ability to lead/drive change using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and drive solutions/corrective action.
• Strong aptitude in SAP, Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, and Word. Abilify to quickly Lean internal software tools.
• Competency with CAD and other 3-D modeling and metrology software desired (Pro/E or Creo, Volume Graphics is preferred)
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Fluent in written and Spoken English.
• Experience using Six Sigma tools and lean manufacturing techniques.
• Experience in lead time reduction and cost savings activities.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing behavior-based safety approach.
• Demonstrated experience of building a high performing team.
